Innocuous Idli

That was the last day of the year 2014 that I had decided to give up having Idli on a regular basis. But you know how the heart is, it constantly fights with the mind. Before the year ending I had had Idli on everyday so that I may avoid it in the new year. But no the craving is just increasing like an exponential graph and now certainly it has become part of my diet plan. The credit goes to my office canteen staff who manages to have Idli in their menu.

Oh! Wait a minute. I forgot to mention about what an Idli is to my associates overseas. Idli is a steamed cake made from rice and black lentils with a pinch of salt originating from Southern India. Usually ingested with vegetable stew known as Sambhar and coconut curry known as Chutney in local language. On doing a little research for the reason that I may skip Idli as my breakfast I found that it contains zero fat, zero saturated fat and zero cholesterol. Also it goes well with the breakfast making up to 39 Calories. Yayy! So that is healthy and a complete breakfast.

Here on it is okay to have Idli as breakfast even if you are diet and health conscious.
